Being able to bring fresh eyes into a company I think holds much value. Companies become very engraved in how things are and I think it is refreshing to have a new perspective brought to the table. A company knows how they want to function, and knows how they want things to appear, but does it actually portray that way? Bringing in a new set of eyes, can allow for many great changes and realizations to be made. These "eyes" may notice small details that the company may simply over passed prior. I bring this up because my partner and I serve as the "fresh eyes" for TrueJob. The first thing we did when we came in was that we took notes. We identified things we liked, disliked or just did not understand. In taking these notes changes are actually being made which is exciting.
In taking our notes my partner and I both had down small site changes, and structure changes to the blog site for example. We felt the current layout of the blog possessed great content but it was just hard to read and navigate. The lengthy blog posts required much scrolling, pushing users to not even want to navigate to find which they were searching for. We felt that the organization of the blog was very important, and in essence of increasing traffic and making readability easier I researched and found some new site layouts! In doing so, the new layout we all decided on is actually up and running take a look: blog.truejob.com
